This Privacy Policy explains how COLABOO collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when you use our website, application, marketplace, communications or related services.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to Businesses, Creators, visitors and other users of COLABOO.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information such as name, email address, phone number, login information and profile details.
• Business information such as business name, category, location, website/social links and booking information.
• Creator information such as profile name, location, services, pricing, availability, portfolio and professional information.
• Booking information such as briefs, approved Collaboration Terms, deliverables, messages, files, reviews, ratings and disputes.
• Payment and payout information necessary to process transactions. COLABOO will NEVER request UPI PINs, OTPs, CVVs or banking passwords.
• Technical information such as IP address, device/browser details, logs, cookies and usage analytics.
• Information you provide to customer support or during disputes.

3. How We Use Information

• Create and manage accounts.
• Match Businesses with suitable Creators and facilitate Bookings.
• Process payments, refunds, payouts and disputes.
• Manage project delivery, approvals, revisions and reviews.
• Provide customer support and service communications.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, impersonation and security incidents.
• Improve COLABOO, marketplace matching, security and user experience.
• Send marketing communications where permitted and provide opt-out options.
• Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.

4. Marketplace Visibility

Some profile information may be visible to other users so the marketplace can function. This may include display name, professional category, city/area, portfolio, services, ratings, reviews and availability. Private credentials and payment authentication information are not intentionally displayed publicly.

5. Payment Information

COLABOO may use third-party payment gateways, marketplace settlement services and payout providers. Those providers may process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. COLABOO does not and will not request UPI PINs, OTPs, card CVVs or banking passwords.

6. Sharing Information

COLABOO may share personal data when reasonably necessary to operate the platform, including with payment processors, hosting/cloud providers, analytics and communication providers, customer-support providers, professional advisers, the Business/Creator on the other side of a Booking as needed to perform the service, or authorities where legally required.

COLABOO does not and will never sell personal data as a standalone business model.

7. Content & Project Data

Portfolios, briefs, images, videos, documents, messages and other project content may be processed and stored to provide marketplace and project-management services. Content ownership and usage rights are governed by the applicable Terms and approved Collaboration Terms.

8. Data Retention

COLABOO retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, bookings, payment/accounting records, dispute resolution, security, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Different data types may have different retention periods.

9. User Requests & Deletion

Subject to applicable law, users may request correction, deletion/erasure or other available rights regarding their personal data. Some data may need to be retained for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes. Identity verification may be required before processing a request.

10. Security

COLABOO uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, secure authentication, restricted administrative access and appropriate hosting/security practices. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Cookies & Analytics

COLABOO may use essential cookies for login, security and core functionality, and analytics/performance tools to understand use and improve the platform. Optional marketing technologies, if used, will be handled according to applicable law and user choices.

12. Third-Party Services & Links

COLABOO may use third-party services such as payment, hosting, analytics, communications and security providers. Their processing may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Third-party websites linked from COLABOO are not controlled by COLABOO.

13. Children

COLABOO is intended for users aged 18 years and above and does not knowingly permit children under the applicable age to create marketplace accounts.

14. International Processing

Some service providers may process data outside India. Where applicable, COLABOO will use appropriate safeguards and comply with applicable Indian data-protection requirements.

15. Indian Data Protection Law

COLABOO intends to process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian privacy and data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, to the extent applicable and in force. COLABOO may update notices, consent mechanisms and processes as the legal framework is implemented.
